5 – Anspach & Hobday – The Ordinary Bitter (3.7% Bitter)

£5.76£10.48

Growler Deposit Required

Approx £2.98 Per Pint

When A&H brew a bitter they do it properly using a heavy dose of East Kent Goldings early on in the brew to introduce a subtle bitterness and using Chinook later in the brew to give a little new world flavour. Brewed to be drunk like a traditional bitter – sessionable and low enough abv to still get for work the next day.

Description:
Anspach & Hobday are a brewery I go to when I want a beer ‘that puts hairs on your chest’ – I wouldn’t use such an old school term usually but in the case of A&H I think it is fitting. They specialise in old school, thick ales – these guys pretty much single handedly kick started my obsession with older styles of beer.
