Peroni is turning heads again, and this time in the alcohol-free scene. The Italian lager brand has just dropped two refreshing new 0.0% options: Limone di Sicilia and Arancia Rossa. These bright, citrus-inspired brews promise to bring a taste of Mediterranean sunshine to UK fridges, minus the alcohol.

Available now in 4x330ml multipacks at an RRP of £5.50, the duo will first roll out in selected Tesco stores from 24 February, with a wider launch planned soon after. Whether you’re a beer lover easing into the alcohol-free life or simply craving something zesty, these new Peroni 0.0% varieties could be your next favourite pick.

The Rise of Flavoured Alcohol-Free Beer

It’s no secret that the alcohol-free category is booming, and Peroni is leading the charge. Data from Nielsen highlights Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% as a key driver of growth in the UK’s low- and no-alcohol lager market.

Asahi UK’s own research backs this up:

  • 92% of 18–27-year-olds and 89% of millennials say they’re likely to purchase a flavoured alcohol-free beer.
  • Younger adults are increasingly drawn to 0.0% options, not just for nights out but also for dinners, outdoor hangouts, and post-workout socialising.

And it makes sense. Today’s drinkers want premium choices that don’t compromise on taste or experience. Fruity, citrus-led beers fit perfectly into a mindful lifestyle, blending refreshment and flavour without the buzz.

Big Plans and Big Investment

To make sure no one misses this launch, Asahi UK is investing heavily with over £1 million in marketing, to capture consumer attention. Expect to see Peroni everywhere this year.

But that’s just the start. Asahi will also hand out more than 500,000 free samples through in-store tastings, digital promotions, and even HelloFresh meal kits. They’re also targeting new drinking occasions through running clubs and their Club Peroni loyalty programme, which will reward fans with offers and discounts.

A Premium Move for Retailers

According to Rob Hobart, marketing director at Asahi UK, the move signifies a “step-change” for alcohol-free beer in the UK. And there’s serious business logic behind it. Peroni’s 0.0% range already delivers a 21% price premium versus the broader alcohol-free category, giving retailers a strong reason to stock up.

As more consumers embrace mindful drinking, the demand for high-quality alcohol-free beer is only going to rise, and Peroni’s latest innovation looks perfectly timed to catch that wave. Whether it’s Limone di Sicilia’s crisp lemon zing or the subtle sweetness of Arancia Rossa, these 0.0% lagers show that flavour and sophistication don’t need to come with a hangover.
